I couldn't imagine the taste of ketchup made from fish. After searching for fish ketchup, I found that the name "ketchup" comes from the fish sauce of China or East Asian countries.
It was a really interesting story that the origin of soy sauce and tomato ketchup is the same. We should call soy sauce as "soy ketchup" instead of "shou-yu" :-)

というわけで、インドネシアのケチャップマニスは鹿児島あたりの甘い醤油の近縁なのではなかろうかということが推測される。
ＡＢＣ ケチャップマニスフィリピンもバナナケチャップにそろえて、patisをフィッシュケチャップと呼べばいいのに。
